A long awaited return to Leicester for Captain Accident and the Disasters is coming this May! Specifically, Friday 15th of May at Firebug!

Captain Accident and the Disasters closed out Half Drunk Club 2022! (They joined [Spunge] and Last Edition as our 2022 headliners).

After recently releasing the brilliant “Slither on the Dashboard”, we just had to make sure a Leicester return was in the diary for 2026. Give the video for “Slither on the Dashboard” a watch below.

If you’ve not seen Captain Accident before (firstly, WHY THE HELL NOT?!)—then this is what you’re in for:

Captain Accident creates his unique blend of rock-driven soulful roots reggae, ska & dub at his home studio in Cardiff. With the help of the finest musical collective dubbed “The Disasters” this sound is then explosively transformed onto the stage, bringing an energetic & captivating live show. With soulful vocals, luscious harmonies, soaring twin guitars and a truly infectious groove, there’s no standing still when Captain Accident and his clumsy companions hit the stage.

The Mighty Vipers:

Mighty Vipers engine is fired within the belly of the industrial north, where brass band culture meets the ethics of DIY punk rock driven forward with a reggae-inspired groove. An eighteen-legged beast where everyone is welcome and all are unified in a sea of sweat, smiles and celebration.

While the Mighty Vipers hip-shaking grooves are aimed directly at the dance floor their lyrics are fiercely political. Often cited as more punk than punk, they refuse to be pigeonholed by genre or association.

Skanktified

Skanktified are here to bring the skanktifyah! 🔥 Leicestershire based and out of the same stable as One Drop Groove Collective, Skanktified merge the vibrant, searing and beautiful vocals of Janine Inglis with brassy and synth-tinged original dub and roots reggae; edgy ska and with an added sprinkle of jungle. It’s a new group on a mission with conscious and powerful lyricism and a passionate and energetic delivery.
